Just recently, we visited the Boston Science Museum for “The science behind Pixar” exhibit. Pixar shows the science, technology, engineering and math(STEM) concepts by the artist and computer scientists who help bring Pixar's award-winning films to the big screen….but don’t tell your kids, Just tell the kids it’s just a whole lota fun!!! My daughter and her friend, both tweens, are both really into ipad movie apps that create and display their love of selfies and talents for making movies so it was a perfect exhibit for them. It was all kinds of wonderful! There was something for everyone!!! My husband and I enjoyed just about everything unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to see everything.
There are 40 different hands on activities, some of which are listed below:
Final rating: 4 thumbs up, the girls loved the stop motion animation, My husband loved the rendering: showing the movie – the story building process, I loved the whole thing from learning about the process to hearing the Pixar expert interviews. We are planning to return soon!!!!
The show goes on in Boston until: Jan 10th 2016. After January 10, 2016, it will start a national tour to other museums around the United States. First traveling to the Franklin Institute, followed by the California Science Center, Science Museum of Minnesota, Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, as well as other venues.
