The Big Catch!
Lake Michigan sunset from the fishing boat near Frankfort, Michigan
By: Yogatiger and Queue Murphy We went on a beautiful fishing boat out of Betsie Bay in Frankfort Michigan. Ms. Jane and Mr. Mike were our hosts on their great boat! Mr. Mike put out about 8 fishing lines and we watched the radar as we moved back and forth alone the shoreline. We did this for about 3 hours and watched a beautiful sunset over Lake Michigan and started to head back. In the darkness, one of the lines started bending and Miss Jane, shouted that we had a fish on the line. She then talked our 12-year-old into reeling it in and we watched as a large salmon fought the line. When HR finally won, he had pulled in a 12 pound salmon. We pulled into the harbor and Mr. Mike fileted the fish. Ms Jane gave us a wonderful recipe, which you can find in our recipe section. We cooked up some beans, tossed a salad and roasted potatoes and the kids loved it! Look at the beautiful pictures!
