Every day Life
By: Loving Peaceful Mama
Boxes! Boxes! Everywhere! and absolutely no room to spare.
It’s been 10 + years since my husband and I have moved and I know why….I HATE MOVING!!!!!
There’s nothing good about it, the packing, the moving of endless junk, the scheduling of: the movers (what does the price cover? The tape, not the tape, the boxes…never the boxes, 2 trucks or one …yes we have a lot of junk), the cleaners, the boxes (begging for boxes), what to take with us, what to leave, all of the bank forms, all of the school forms, when do we notify the post office and all of the credit card agencies? Endless worry, an endless list of things to checkoff and add to. Not to mention the worry of any parent that is moving her child from one state to another, so she is not just moving from house to house, the added stress is moving to another school. I know people do it all of the time, a lot more every day for work, or no work. Hell military kids do it all of the time.
It also seems that all of our sock monkey’s (those silly invisible things that seem to hide those momentarily important items like keys, matching purple sock, signed school forms, my head) are coming out in full force. I just wish I could remember how to ward them off ….did I mention they took my head?
OK, there are one or two MAJORLY good things that we are looking forward to. Finally after 10 + years of renting we are going to be able to have a dog because we will own our own home….and did I tell you how much I love the new house? It’s a dream house, well my dream house. So there are lights at the
end of the tunnel. But it’s so far away, 30 days until the closing and we need MORE BOXES!!!!
…more tape…..more memory….more room….more patience….more breathing

I think just the thought of moving again, makes me not do it! Thanks for reminding me! But you now are in a very beautiful house! Queue Murphy
