My Baby Eats Better Than Me!

Kids change everything.

My healthy lifestyle has been on pause for the past year now. You hear it all the time from everyone, "Having a baby changes everything/" Oh, but not me! I'll make time for taking care of myself. Oh, especially me. There have been days when I realize that it's 3PM and all I've eaten is my baby's sun butter remains that i liked off of the spoon! Or maybe I snuck a bite or two of his Yobaby yogurt. 

How can something so important and so simple to do be forgotten. Ladies let me tell you, mommy brain is real, very very real. 

My brain is on enough to take care of him: fresh cooked meat, a variety of fruits and veggies, freshly shredded Parmesan cheese (his favorite). He's getting three and four course meals while I mindlessly ignore my growling tummy.

My solution in progress? DUH I need to make enough for the two of us. Slowly working on this one. I need this season of absentmindedness to be done, and get back on track taking care of me too. What kind of example am I showing him if I'm not eating along side of him?

What are your thoughts? Young moms, how do you make sure you are getting enough to eat during the day?
